Senior Systems Administrator

Position Overview:As a Senior Systems Administrator you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our companys IT systems and networks. Drawing upon your extensive experience and expertise you will lead initiatives to enhance system performance reliability and security. Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain complex IT systems including servers networks and storage infrastructure.
• Lead projects to upgrade migrate and integrate new technologies ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the IT team sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Monitor system performance and security proactively identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities and risks.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain documentation policies and procedures related to system administration and IT operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration with a strong background in managing enterpriselevel IT infrastructure.
• Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux/Unixbased systems including server configuration administration and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP DNS DHCP VLANs and VPNs.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware HyperV) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSE CCNA RHCE) are a plus.
