We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Cardiovascular Critical Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team. • The location is in Chico CA
• The working schedule for this role is 12hr NOC 1900 start; may float to other units including med surg
• The duration is as a contactor for 13 weeks
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday requirements are as needed
• Guaranteed hours: 36

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate complete health care records and reports
• Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
• Recording patient vital signs and medical information
  
• Monitoring reporting and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
  
• Administering nonintravenous medications
• Assessing implementing planning or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
• The patient to nurse ratio shall not exceed 1:4

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN state licensure
• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the appropriate unit for this role
• 2 years of Critical Care experience
• BLS/BCLS ACLS certification
  
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients families physicians and hospital staff
  
• Basic computer skills
• Professional friendly attitude

The Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) at Enloe Medical Center is a 30 bed unit that provides medical preoperative and postoperative surgical care to admitted patients that are generally classified as medium to high acuity patients. Patients admitted to the unit are stable have a high potential of becoming unstable have a higher complexity and existing comorbidities and require a higher level of nursing care than found on the general patient care units. The patient population served by the Cardiovascular Unit consists of the young adult through the geriatric patient community. Examples of patients admitted to the Cardiovascular Unit are as follows: Cardiac diagnoses Pre/Post cardiac artery bypass surgery carotid endarterectomy Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI) Post pacemaker insertion Arrhythmia detection CHF pneumonia and other like disease processes. The patient to nurse ratio shall not exceed 1:4.
