Job Overview:

The General Manager is responsible for the effective management and profitability of the automotive distribution operations. This includes strategic planning sales and marketing customer service financial management and personnel development. The GM ensures the distribution center operates efficiently meets performance targets and provides excellent customer service. This role reports to the Executive Director based in Malaysia.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Execution
   1. Develop and implement business strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets.
   2. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
   3. Set and monitor performance goals for various departments.
2. Operations Management
   1. Oversee daytoday operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
   2. Liaise with stakeholders including principals and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with partners in the UK and China regarding delivery matters.
   3. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and quality standards.
   4. Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
3. Sales and Marketing Management
   1. Oversee the sales team to drive revenue and market share.
   2. Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote products and services.
   3. Maintain relationships with key clients and develop strategies to attract new customers.
4. Customer Service (After Sales Operations)
   1. Oversee the after sales operations team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
   2. Handle escalated customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
   3. Implement customer feedback mechanisms to improve service quality.
5. Financial Management
   1. Collaborate closely with the Finance Team to review and manage budgets forecasts and financial reports.
   2. Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
   3. Optimize inventory management to balance stock levels and meet customer demand.
6. Personnel Management
   1. Collaborate closely with the HR Team to build a highperforming team.
   2. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
   3. Foster a positive and motivating work environment.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Business Management Automotive Technology or a related field. Relevant fields might include finance marketing or engineering. MBA preferred.
• Experience: At least 510 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent sales and marketing acumen.
• Proficient in financial management and budgetary control.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
