Licensed Social Worker

Job Overview:

The Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWA) serves as an integral part of our multidisciplinary team providing essential social work services in accordance with District of Columbia regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals and communities in need while working under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Supervising Social Worker.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Client Support and Case Management:

Conduct initial assessments and participate in the development of client care plans.

Provide direct support to clients including crisis intervention advocacy and referral services.

Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate client care and resources.

2. **Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate and confidential client records.

Ensure all services and documentation comply with DC social work regulations and standards.

3. Community Outreach and Education:

Participate in community outreach programs to identify and engage individuals in need of social work services.

Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families.

4. Professional Development:

Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities under the guidance of the Supervising Social Worker.

Attend regular supervision sessions and team meetings.

5. Ethical Practice:

Adhere to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and local regulatory requirements.

Maintain client confidentiality and practice with cultural competence and sensitivity.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Social Work or a related field.

Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWA) in the District of Columbia.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.

Working Conditions:

Office setting with regular visits to client locations which may include homes schools and community centers.

Flexible hours including possible evenings and weekends to meet client needs.
