Our newly constructed Sherbrooke (QC) location will be home to a worldclass manufacturing facility. Our multidisciplinary team is currently working hard and fast to deliver useful enterprisegrade quantum computers to our customers in a safe and controlled environment. This fulltime position will be based onsite in our brandnew office located Espace Quantique 1 at the heart of a brandnew and exciting technology hub.
As an AIT Scientist you will be a key player in our Canadian branch while building upon your interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team. Reporting to our Technical Delivery Manager in Sherbrooke you will work in collaboration with the manufacturing team and be responsible for the connection conformity of complex interfaces (lasers optical modulators cameras sequencers detectors etc.). You will be responsible for the assembly compliance of all subsystems into the main core of the QPUs and will validate test bench results to confirm the correct flow of assemblies.
Other responsibilities include:
- In charge of connection conformity of complex interfaces (lasers optical modulators cameras sequencers detectors ).
- Provide expert support to the manufacturing floor solving problems under pressure and ensuring that production runs smoothly to meet production deadlines.
- Support factory acceptance tests and keep documents up to date.
- Contribute to weekly technical reports to senior managers.
- In close cooperation with Team 1 and other entities in the company compile and keep updated the assembly and testing specifications of existing and future products.
- Can be requested as support to installation and commissioning teams locally and at customer sites.
- Provide operational leadership recommending evolutions of assembly methods and testing procedures in order to optimize workflow with future evolutions.
About You:
- You have 8 years experience in both theoretical and handson approaches on optomechanical assemblies ideally in a production environment.
- You are rigorous with strong problemsolving aptitudes.
- You are autonomous and have an appetite to learn advanced concepts and make connections between various scientific fields.
- You understand manufacturing environments and tight delivery schedules.
- You are dedicated to the quality system and are a leader in continuous improvement.

Degree Requirements:
Bachelor in relevant Science related field or Engineering Degree (Electronics Physics or Optics) plus 8 years experience ideally in a production environment.
English fluency is required for this position. Bilingual French/English preferred.
