Position Description

Network/System Engineer II

Jacobs will conduct New Hire Orientation Sessions for employees with offer letters provided by and nbsp;

the Jacobs Team. There will be multiple sessions and those currently scheduled will be listed and nbsp;

below soon. We are preparing for the GISA NOSS contract start date when Jacobs is 100% and nbsp;

responsible for all missions and for Day 30 when we assume sustainment responsibility and Day and nbsp;

90 when we assume O and amp;M responsibility.

Job Description

TNCC and ITOC personnel provide Tier II customer service support to US ARMY INSCOM and nbsp;

customers. Responsible for providing software support to CISCO routers and switches Dell PCs and nbsp;

Sun Servers Juniper routers InLine Encryption (INE) devices network security appliances and and nbsp;

other related network hardware.

Qualifications

Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI

Educational Requirement: and nbsp;

Certification Requirements:

IAT2: GSEC or Security CE or SSCP or CCNA Security

OS Cert: CCNA or CCENT

Experience Requirements:

5 years of experience configuring operating and troubleshooting networks.

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle and nbsp;

(considerations: close quarters low to moderate noise bright or dim lighting). and nbsp;

Work assignments vary based on client requirements. and nbsp;

Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions

Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot dusty cold icy and nbsp;

and windy climates.

Physical Requirements

Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and and nbsp;

carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on and nbsp;

PC/laptop or phone.

Equipment and Machines

General office equipment which includes: telephone fax machine copier PC/laptop and and nbsp;

other miscellaneous office equipment. and nbsp;

May require operating motor vehicles.

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory. and nbsp;

It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required. and nbsp;

You may be asked to continue performance in support of a war contingency or exercise and nbsp;

You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other and nbsp;

conditions when others are not permitted to work

Position may require night and weekend work and could include travel with the military and nbsp;

to participate in operations/exercises located in areas with field conditions

Travel

Continental and Oversees travel may be required. It is important to maintain a current and nbsp;

passport.

Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe and nbsp;

specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required and nbsp;

certifications through the duration of the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required and nbsp;

termination.
