MedSurg Registered Nurse

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for an RN Medical/Surgical. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 5/16/2024

13 weeks Nights 12hour shifts 36 hours guaranteed weekly

Collaborates with the health care team using evidencebased practice demonstrating accountability and respect for patients families and coworkers while providing safe and optimal patient outcomes. Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and family as appropriate. Directs the work of the support staff in the provision of care. Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision. Able to work with agespecific populations according to the setting. Assessments include neonate pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Education:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program;
• BSN preferred.

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after the hire date.
• Current ACLS certification. (New employees should obtain per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy.)

EMR System: Meditech knowledge/experience preferred

Shift: Friday Saturday Sunday 7p7a

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• High degree of empathetic listening skills tact and kindness toward others.
• Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Technical and critical thinking skills about sound nursing judgment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices as they relate to acute care.
