Respiratory Therapist

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has openings for a Respiratory Therapist. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 5/16/2024

13 weeks Days 10hour shift 40 hours per week guaranteed

SUMMARY

Administers respiratory therapy and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services Manager of Respiratory Care and the Medical Director of Respiratory Care. Cares for patients from simple to complex neonate to geriatrics with multisystem issues in a safe and therapeutic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments and adapts to changing clinical conditions.
• Administers medication to patients.
• Documents care provided and patients progress toward attainment of desired outcomes.
• Involves self in departmental and hospital initiatives.
• Obtains required intubations.
• Manages time and workload fluctuations.
• Acts as a preceptor to staff and students.
• Utilizes the hospital and departmental information technology systems and equipment operations.
• Completes departmental and hospital requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Dictionary of Occupational Titles Material Handling Classification is MEDIUM.

• The employee must regularly lift carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds frequently lift carry or push/pull up to 10 25 pounds and occasionally lift carry or push/pull up to 20 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to hear and speak. The employee is frequently required to bend do fine motor reach and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb do repetitive motions kneel sit smell and squat. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision depth perception far vision near vision and peripheral vision.
• The employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants airborne pathogens bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids. The employee is occasionally exposed to electrical hazards shock moving mechanical parts radiation slippery surfaces and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Previous Cardiopulmonary experience preferred

Education:

• Must have graduated with an Associates degree from an American Medical Associationapproved school for Respiratory Care.

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Must have Current New Hampshire State Respiratory Care license
• Must have a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification or equivalent course credentialed by the American Heart Association.
• NRP and ACLS are required within 6 months of hire.
• Employees hired before Nov. 1 2023 will have until 6/1/2024 to complete ACLS and NRP requirements.

EMR System: Cerner experience preferred

Shift: Monday Thursday 10:30 am 9:00 pm

** Any employee hired after 08/01/2022 must be registry eligible through the NBRC and is required to obtain RRT credentials within 2 years of the hire date.
