Lead Mechanical Engineer

In this key leadership position you will oversee the design development and implementation of mechanical systems with a particular emphasis on pipework and instrumentation. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure projects are successfully delivered while maintaining industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers providing guidance mentorship and technical expertise in pipework and instrumentation.
  
• Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems including the creation and interpretation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PNIDs).
  
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including project managers designers and other engineering disciplines to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  
• Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on design documents ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
  
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical engineering processes leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  
• Lead the resolution of technical challenges and provide technical support during project execution addressing issues related to pipework design layout and installation.
  
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols in all aspects of mechanical engineering activities promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the team.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  
• Proven experience 4 in a lead engineering role with a focus on mechanical engineering pipework design and instrumentation.
  
• Indepth knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PNIDs) including interpretation development and implementation.
  
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components with expertise in pipework design layout and installation.
  
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar for design and analysis purposes.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders.
  
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions.
