Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our talented team. As an Occupational Therapist at WTCP you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. • The location is in Andover Kansas
• The working schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• The duration is 13 weeks as a contractor
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday requirements are as needed
• Oncall or weekends are not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Occupational therapists assess the clients physical cognitive emotional and environmental factors that may affect their ability to perform daily activities
• Based on the assessment OTs develop individualized treatment plans to address specific challenges and goals. These plans may include exercises activities and adaptations to enhance independence and function
• Occupational therapists work directly with clients to implement the treatment plans. This may involve therapeutic exercises activities adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• OTs educate clients and their families about their condition treatment strategies and ways to manage daily activities more effectively
• Occupational therapists often recommend and teach the use of adaptive techniques and assistive devices to help individuals overcome challenges and perform tasks independently
• Occupational therapists collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physicians physical therapists speech therapists and social workers to provide comprehensive care
• OTs work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges to develop coping strategies improve social skills and enhance overall mental wellbeing
• In occupational settings OTs may assess and modify work environments to promote safety and productivity for employees

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy Certification in the state of practice
• 1 year recent Physical Therapy experience in a rehab setting
  
• BLS Certification
