SUPERVISORY POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Duties

Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POSTAL OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Fleet Mail Center of NAVSUP FLC BAH GF. Relocation and recruitment incentives up to 25% may be authorized. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining effective and efficient postal operations by providing expert technical advice of domestic and international Postal laws, regulations, policies, and directives; 2) Operating a mail processing facility that processes mail to worldwide destinations; 3) Conducting Postal inspections to analyze, troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for a Postal mail program; and 4) Providing recommendations for the development for postal operations, budgetary regulations, and manning. Dependent entry approval from Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command is required for all accompanied tours prior to extending the final job offer and prior to issuing Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders. Accompanied tours are not guaranteed. The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays or shift schedule depending on mission requirements. Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position and member may be required to be available on-call to deal with security issues that may arise. Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee.
