Tasks

Role Overview: Development of computer vision pipelines for 7axis robots used for harvesting. This robot operates in a greenhouse and faces a highly dynamic environment. Changing light conditions fast robot movements moveable targets and collision objects are challenges the vision system has to overcome. Your work on the vision system will enhance the robots understanding of the environment and will allow it to react to changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of algorithms for panoptic segmentation of the robots environment
• 3Dobject detection e.g. generation of collision objects using 3dperception sensors (LIDAR stereo cameras) and their respective point clouds
• Integration of new vision sensors to enhance the robots understanding of the environment
• Development of visionbased tracking methods
• Rapid prototyping of your designs and ideas on real hardware
• Contribution to our training pipeline and developing strategies for automated data collection pseudoannotation and automated deployment

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Completed computer science degree with specialization in robotics computer vision or comparable course of study
• At least 2 year of work experience in the field of computer vision
• Expertise across the full development process for neural networks (data collection data generation training deployment and testing)
• Profound skills with Python Pytorch Docker Linux Git
• A passion for the development of innovative solutions and creative ideas to improve our robots
• Team spirit and entrepreneurial thinking
• Fluency in English required fluency in German is a big plus

Optional:

• Skills with ROS (Robot Operating System)
• Experience with 3d vision sensors and cameras
