Mechanical Engineer

Growing Company in Southern Washington State (Longview area) has a need for a Mechancial Engnieer. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package.

Modify designs of existing products to adapt to various pieces of equipment.

Create accurate 3D models of metal products in Solidworks software

Collaborates with electrical hydraulic and mechanical groups to create edit or update drawings models prints or manuals as needed.

Determines the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and writes and edits technical information accordingly

Prepares or commissions graphics and illustrations to elaborate on or complement technical writing

Performs basic mechanical calculations related to force moment and stress analysis

Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering required

2 years related experience with emphasis on design preferred

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent measuring skills and expert level use of various measuring tools

Adaptability to rapidly changing working environments and operational situations.

Welldeveloped mechanical drawing skills including proper drafting dimensioning and tolerance techniques

Working knowledge of drafting standards

Welldeveloped technical writing skills

Ability to create technical manuals and assembly instructions for products and equipment.

Ability to work from rough sketches to create detailed part and assembly models
