We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our talented team. • The location is in Grand Forks ND
• The working schedule for this role is straight nights every other weekend and holiday
• The duration is 13 weeks as a contractor
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• Holiday coverage is not required
• Oncall requirements are not required

Key Responsibilities:

• The NICU Respiratory Therapist assists with special projects validations and orientations
• This position is responsible for having the knowledge and ability to train staff on all NICU equipment
• Participates in new staff orientation and annual competency evaluations
• Monitors employee validations to ensure completion
• Participates in creating and reviewing policies and procedures
• Participates in department performance improvement programs and adjusts staff assignments for other staffs participation
• Provides staff development and improvement of clinical skills for clinical team
• Assists with event/incident reporting for both patients and employee safety occurrences
• Reports issues/malfunctions to appropriate departments
• Functions as department supervisor in his/her absence
• Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure

Qualifications:

• Respiratory Therapist North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care
  
• Respiratory Therapist Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
• BLS PALS
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy working with respiratory equipment
  
• Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
  
• Comfortable working independently
• Familiar with safety and confidentiality standards
