Job Description

The Insights Analyst is responsible for sourcing data and producing accurate timely reporting in support of the Privacy Risk Compliance Group as well as other ad hoc analytics assignments. The candidate should be skilled in SQL (Presto/Hive) Tableau and Excel/Sheets. They should apply their technical expertise to understand business needs and scope requests and collaborate with the analytics team. They can operate independently with minimal oversight while maintaining reliable documentation and clear communication on project deliverables and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities:
  • Be adept at sourcing data and executing reporting deliverables in accordance with detailed local national and international regulations.
  • Use tools and programming languages like SQL (presto/hive) Tableau Excel/Sheets and many other internal tools (such as Workday) to work efficiently at scale.
  • Apply your technical expertise to understanding business needs scoping requests and synthesizing insights in collaboration with other members of the analytics team.
  • Apply your technical expertise to help solve inform and influence how our HR tools operate and support decisionmaking for our HR technology team.
  • Capture and maintain reliable documentation to support ongoing project deliverables and alignment with stakeholders and engineering teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3 years experience with SQL (or similar language aimed at querying relational databases).
  • 3 years of experience working with data visualization tools (Tableau strongly preferred).
  • Experience manipulating large data sets through statistical software or other methods.
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Experience processing and analyzing data sets and interpreting them for making business decisions.
  • Experience communicating the results of analyses with product and leadership teams to influence the overall strategy of the product.
  • The ability to have effective conversations with clients about their support needs and requirements.
  • Exceptional professionalism and customerservice skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fastpaced and demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in a field that emphasizes data analysis and visualization (e.g. computer science math engineering or statistics) or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with R Python or a similar scripting language is a plus.
  • Experience working with HR/organizational people data preferred (e.g. headcount turnover recruiting metrics and other people analytics).
  • Experience working with compliance reporting (e.g. audit legal privacy governance).
  • Strong project management skills and understanding of Scrum artifacts ceremonies and roles.

  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OPWiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
