Job Description

3 months contract with a local authority

Job Summary:

To provide legal support with income collection and cessation of duty for the council helping maintain temporary accommodation.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

To represent the Council presenting evidence in Court Hearings of arrears and action taken to recover these arrears and cessation of homelessness duties usually without legal representation.

To ensure high standards of record keeping for all court activity

To obtain money judgements on relevant cases

Essential Experience Required:

Experience of lone working

Knowledge and awareness of Local Government operating processes and decisionmaking processes and the ability to operate in that environment

Specialist knowledge of court protocol and legislation relating to possession

Essential Qualifications Required:

A Law Degree would be advantageous

Driving Licence and access to vehicle with insurance

Additional information to note:

36 hours per week

09:00am 17:00pm working hours
