Line Cook

We are currently recruiting a Line Cook on behalf of our client to prepare and cook a variety of dishes in a fastpaced kitchen environment contributing to the culinary excellence of their establishment. If you have a passion for cooking and the ability to work efficiently under pressure wed like to introduce you to this important role in the world of culinary arts.

Requirements:

• Education: College/CEGEP
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Plan menus determine size of food portions estimate food requirements and costs and monitor and order supplies
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation cooking and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations
