As a Project Manager you will be at the helm of significant Heavy Construction projects (such as bridge work infrastructure plant & process) or Construction Management of Buildings (focused on school and municipal markets). This role demands a leader capable of overseeing all aspects of project management from preconstruction to closeout. Although our headquarters is in Chicago the worksite for this position is in Elgin IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preconstruction: Oversee all preconstruction phases including planning and design.
- Estimating: Develop accurate project cost estimates.
- Contract Management: Administer construction contracts ensuring compliance and performance.
- Scheduling: Utilize advanced scheduling tools like P6 to manage timelines effectively.
- Construction Methods: Determine and apply appropriate construction means and methods.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control costs to maintain budget integrity.
- Payment Processing: Manage the flow of payments to ensure timely completion and financial accuracy.
- Project Closeout: Efficiently close out projects ensuring all objectives are met.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Handle other duties as needed adaptable to various project needs.
- Versatile Working Environment: Ability to work effectively in both office and field settings.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in heavy construction or vertical building construction.
- Leadership: Strong team management skills and the ability to lead projects from start to finish.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills including formal presentation abilities.

Preferred Education/Experience:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 510 years in the construction industry.
