JOB TITLE: Database Administrator
Job Location : Ashburn VA (Twice a month)
Contract Duration : 12 months
US Citizen only MUST BE LEGALLY ABLE TO SUPPORT SERVERS THAT HOST GOVERNMENT AND LEGAL ENTITIES
Description:
Responsibility shall include overall maintenance administration monitoring and troubleshooting for Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL MongoDB and Cassandra databases:
Install and Build database structures
Backup & Recovery
Apply patches and upgrade database versions
Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks
Query and performance tuning
Part of OnCall rotation
Develop and maintain documentation
Description Type: Qualifications
Database administrator with over 810 years of experience in database administration of high availability and critical production systems
Provide 24x7 production support hands on experience in creation and maintenance of Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Cassandra database instances database design database performance monitoring and tuning
Working experience in Oracle 19c database backup and recovery are also required.
Oracle RAC Oracle Data Guard experience required
Working experience with SQL Serveror 2019
Oracle certification preferred.
Candidate must be a good team player with strong team concept self motivated and excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Bachelors degree in related field preferred
