iOS development refers to the creation of mobile applications for Apples operating system. It involves using Apples software development kit (SDK) and programming languages such as Swift and ObjectiveC to design develop test and publish applications for devices like iPhone iPad and iPod Touch.

The iOS SDK includes an array of tools libraries and interfaces that are used to write applications. It also offers features like touch input push notifications and integration with iCloud Siri and other Apple services.
