Job Description

Essential Position Purpose

You will build and maintain features for the iOS and Android apps serving as technical lead in a small Agile team. You will raise the bar by setting best practices for mobile development testing and deployment. You will organize work for the team given product requirements reach consensus estimates keep sprint commitments and deliver working software in twoweek iterations while communicating status daily.

Key Position Accountabilities

In this position you are accountable for:

1. Forming a small team of mobile engineers with iOS Android and quality assurance expertise. Establishing clear team norms processes metrics and architecture direction to enable effective collaboration.

o Setting test spec and domaindriven development best practices

o Bringing a DevOps mindset for repeatability scaling and automation

o Setting a high bar for security thinking and vulnerability patching

o Enabling the team to continually improve processes tools and documentation

2. Writing code as an individual contributor to build scalable features in Android and/or iOS collaborating with product owners UX designers other engineers and your manager to deliver working software rapidly.

o Maintaining existing features with dependency updates security patches and testdriven refactoring when needed

3. Facilitating Agile sprints within the team and managing risk to deliver ontime.

Creating user stories and tasks leading team estimation and technical design making databased sprint commitments demonstrating delivered value each iteration and running daily standups

4. Guiding other senior mobile engineers on competencies and intricacies of the mobile development lifecycle

5. Coordinating with other teams and handling incidents during oncall rotations

Required Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or other related fields

• 8 years of experience as part of a highly functional software development team building worldclass mobile apps with more than one of Swift ObjectiveC Kotlin and Java

• 2 years experience as a technical lead for a team of at least 3 engineers in an Agile environment

• 2 years participating in oncall rotations supporting production mobile fullstack or backend systems
