Mechanical Engineer - Validation Support

Participate in regular meetings with the BU Global Tech Doc community Interface with other pillars in Plant to promote Tech Doc integration with other pillar activities as necessary.
Execute health checks to assess Tech Doc System health.
Provide training for employees how to access Tech Doc system as needed and maintain any drawing software licenses for the site.
Manage/create/update any DSOPs necessary to document the tech doc system processes.
Ensure tech doc capability and tools are adequate for the site
Interface with site project managers to ensure necessary technical documentation is turned in and stored appropriately by the end of the project.
SPOC for any onsite drawing updates
Maintain Sites technical documentation SharePoint repository
Site Admin for check in and check out of drawings process safety studies project documents.
Monitor facilitate and maintain Tech Doc related software/programs.
Manage Equipment number data and assign numbers for site equipment.
Provide Site graphic/ plotting support.
Provide drawings to the site on an as needed basis
Be able to run the drawing plotter/laminator to provide site support as needed for presentations
Communicate with inside and outside Engineering vendors for drawing checkin & checkouts and the site drawing control process.
Obtain any vendor training necessary to maintain drawing skills proficiency
Maintain Sites technical documentation SharePoint repository
Spider account setup for site resources
Spider AWC consumer training for site resources.
PDF drawings correction: 80% of the 30000 drawings on Spider have incorrect pdf layout. Consumers only have access to PDF versions.
Spider tickets submission follow ups and closure with service now team when there are issues with Spider.
FLC Mapping for new FLC locations.
Spider Teamcenter user connect (weekly) for Spider release and version updates
Spider health check connects (Monthly) for providing site updates and next steps
Spider techdoc Admin connects for other site learning Spider queries and best practices sharing
Updating spider consumer training document with newer features and version release
Updating spider author training document as needed
Spider admin and consumer access audits for IT security
PSS scans (conversion into digital copies) and upload into Spider. 11 complete out of total 80 PSS dockets
3D model pilot uploads on Project wise. Plan is to upload intelligent latest versions in future
Conversion of Master drawings DGN versions to DWG.
Site engineering support for layout updates for projects. Engineering drafting (small updates) support for projects
Site projects documents uploads.
Site machine / equipment manuals uploads for projects support
Vendor drawings uploads (from initial Spider transition. A few vendor drawings need to be manually uploaded to Spider)
Support in printing drawings
Get Basic training on Process Safety Study location and overview of data in process safety
Demonstrates Ability To Manage And Author Documents And Drawings In Spider (Process Safety Leader)
