Systems Administrator I
Server & Storage (SAIS&S) works under the direct supervision of a Systems Administrator III and assists in the administration implementation maintenance operation and security of core server operating systems directory services file and print services email and antivirus systems. The SAIS&S is knowledgeable of and executes processes and procedures for operation and maintenance of software and hardwarebased components of Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory Exchange Remote Desktop Services and various monitoring logging and notification services. The SAIS&S assists in Server and Storage Services documentation and reporting and performs other administrative tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in support of network system software and periodic updates including MS Active Directory Services MS Exchange MS IIS MS SQL Server Antivirus and associated security systems and applications.

Assists in the implementation of complex network server projects from inception to completion.

Assists in establishing reviewing and updating standards and procedures to support timely and effective project work.

Assists in development and administration of standards and procedures associated with the implementation and support of network server technologies to include best practices for high availability backup security and reporting.

Assists in future needs analysis for acquisition.

Assists in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware software and network server technologies.

Uses advanced tools in problem analysis and performance evaluations.

Assists in R&D activities on new and evolving network server technologies.

Performs other related duties as assigned or directed
