Job Title: Data Transmission Analyst

Work Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Long term contract

Job Details:
Data Transmission Analyst will be part of a project team tasked with ensuring our disaster recovery (DR) environments match production. If differences are identified the analyst will make the necessary changes to align both environments.
Analyse the production and disaster recovery environments looking for inconsistencies. If differences are found updates will need to be made.
Install Connect: Direct on Linux AIX & Windows DR servers.
Add/update DR mainframe and distributed jobs to match their production equivalent.
Research jobs/scripts and Connect: Direct configuration settings on mainframe Linux AIX & Windows environments.
Attend and sometimes lead recurring project status meetings via conference call.
Multitask and work independently while applying logic and discretion.
Applies indepth knowledge of application support and an understanding of best practices.

Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in file transfer or data integration roles.
Strong knowledge of file transmission protocols especially Connect: Direct (NDM).
Understanding of network protocols firewall configuration and security concepts.
Experience with IBM mainframe (TSO) Windows and Linux environments.
Ability to perform a broad range of tasks and project assignments concurrently through effective prioritization of work.
Be selfmotivated and selfmanaging demonstrating sound judgement and effective decision making.
