Job Specification: Accounts Assistant Manager

I am representing a fabulous firm of accountants in the Halesowen/Bromsgrove area who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Assistant Manager to their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional who is ready to take a step into management while continuing to perform handson accounting tasks from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the directors and collaborating closely with senior management.
  • Preparing accounts from start to finish for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior members of staff ensuring their development and performance align with the firm s standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and practices.
  • Utilizing accounting software systems such as Sage Xero QuickBooks and IRIS effectively to manage client accounts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and tax computations.
  • Participating in client meetings to provide financial insights and advice.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and systems.



Requirements

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified or nearing completion of ACCA or CIMA.
  • A strong background in practice accounting is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software particularly Sage Xero QuickBooks and IRIS.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problemsolving and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has demonstrated experience in a similar role within an accounting practice.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities and is eager to step into a managerial role.
  • Is detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in their work.
  • Is committed to professional development and staying uptodate with industry changes.

A qualification in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
