As an IFEC UI / UX Development Manager, you will be responsible for management of all visual design elements, as well as all development aspects of the GUI design, function and usability of the entire user interaction and experience on seatback IFE (monitor and handset), connectivity portal and IFEC applications. Responsible for all operational and functional activities related to GUI development and customizations on current and upcoming QR fleet. Other key responsibilities are: • Evaluate new and emerging methods and technologies in UI / UX across digital platforms and identify best practices in class to incorporate into QR's GUI design framework. • Develop intuitive, user-friendly and visually appealing GUI for all seatback IFE platforms and IFEC mobile applications. • Lead all UI / UX projects for IFEC GUI that involve GUI design concepts, usability testing, wireframing as per system architecture and prototyping for all stages of development up to implementation. • Create user flows for seatback IFE product and PED in line with latest trends in user experience principles across the industry including OTT providers so as to recommend and provide ease-of-use navigation and functionality for all age groups. • Work closely with internal and external resources in planning and executing user research studies to better understand the customer, test product concepts and validate UI / UX designs. • Manage relevant stakeholder deliverables and responsibilities associated with GUI management across QR group with respect to multiple OEM suppliers and their system specific requirements. • Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in user research and assessing performance metrics including competitor analysis and running design workshops. • Use storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate GUI design concepts and utilize data to recommend best practise approach of user experience. • Design GUI experiences which are brand-reflective and have continuity across all IFEC platforms and applications in alignment with QR brand strategy. • Work closely with QR's IT and E-Commerce teams to define API integrations with multiple systems that support the projects, and drive the ongoing evolution of QR's GUI offering. • Develop multiple plans and scenarios for NB testing across all GUI design platforms. • Manage strategy and implementation of the overall UX/UI of QR's GUI design across all IFEC platforms and applications. • Coordination with IFE / Connectivity OEMs to manage all GUI related operational requirements. • Managing relationships with IFE / Connectivity vendors integrating IFE hardware & peripherals, as well as Content Service Providers (CSPs) for content implementation. • Support Manager / Senior Manager IFEC in Quality checks of software Application Testing Protocols (ATP) and Final Software Acceptance Test (FSAT) before software releases for GUI changes and customizations. Support Manager / Senior Manager IFEC in managing timely software roll-outs on operational fleet. • Managing the development of the GUI designs as per IFEC strategy plans and business cases for products and services to enhance customer experience. • Representing the customer's point of view in various cross-functional working groups and committees (GUI workshops etc.). • Management of our external suppliers and QR internal teams to ensure adequate support for facilitation of GUI design workshops, development processes, UAT and rollout. • Research and assist in the selection and evaluation of latest GUI trends and enhancements. Qualifications About You We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Product Development & Design Team • Min. Diploma, Bachelors Degree or Equivalent • 7+ years of UX/UI experience in aviation. • Possess deep understanding of multiple IFE systems from leading OEMs such as Panasonic and Thales and have prior experience in GUI development for aviation. • IFE / connectivity systems experience either with an airline or IFE/C vendor. • Knowledge of IFE systems content structure and delivery processes. • Knowledge / Development of UI, Web and applications — Linux and Android based.
