Job Description: Managing Director (MD)

The Manager Director will provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization. The Manager.

The director will be accountable for the overall success and profitability of the company ensuring effective

operational management and fostering a culture of innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the companys strategic vision and longterm goals.
  • Identify market trends opportunities and potential risks to make informed business decisions.
  • Lead the formulation and execution of comprehensive business plans aligned with organizational goals.

Operational Management:

  • Implement effective operational strategies to enhance efficiency productivity and customersatisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all business functions.
  • Oversee daytoday operations ensuring efficiency quality and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with senior management to monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Financial Management:

  • Oversee financial planning budgeting and fiscal management to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Drive revenue generation cost optimization and profitability through strategic financial decisions.
  • Develop and manage the companys budget financial forecasts and reporting.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective cost management and revenue generation strategies.
  • Implement financial controls and risk management measures to safeguard the companys financial health.

Stakeholder Relations:

  • Build and maintainstrong relationships with key stakeholders including clients and suppliers.
  • Represent the company in public forums trading events and with regulatory bodies.

Corporate Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws regulations and ethical standards.
  • Uphold and strengthen corporate governance practices promoting transparency and accountability.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential risks to the company and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Establish contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and disruptions.

Market Expansion and Business Development:

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand the companys presence.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers distributors and clients.
  • Lead business development initiatives to secure new partnerships and enhance market share.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a highperforming executive team fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to key leaders promoting professional development and succession planning.
  • Nurture a corporate culture that values innovation integrity and excellence.

Innovation and Technology:

  • Embrace and leverage technology to optimize business processes and stay ahead in trading.
  • Foster a culture of innovation encouraging employees to explore new ideas and solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Proven 8 experience as a Sales manager or in a senior executive leadership role in food tradingpreferably in the rice sector.
  • Strong understanding of the rice trading market supply chain dynamics and global trade trends.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets financial reporting and riskmitigation.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication and client negotiation skillswith the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions in a dynamic and competitive business environment.
  • Demonstrated success in business development market expansion and stakeholder management.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in business or a related field preferably a Masters degree.
