Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the planning organization and administration of all purchasing activities within Quera while being accountable for the procurement of materials on both a national and international level streamlining distribution and optimizing inventory management. Your expertise will drive the success of our timesensitive projects necessitating strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning purchasing and supply chain activities of goods and services to ensure an adequate supply of material to support company initiatives and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineers scientists and other internal groups to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and supplier capabilities.
  • Manage and develop relationships with external vendors including inventory levels cost structure delivery schedules and overall quality and delivery performance.
  • Provide analysis of material requirements based on forecast orders and other methods.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as quality reliability cost and technological capabilities.


Qualifications:

  • BS/BA and at least 7 years supply chain experience coupled with a strong understanding of procurement inventory management and distribution strategies within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferably within optics/laser environment.
  • Proven ability in negotiation and conflict resolution particularly with suppliers and external partners to ensure costeffective procurement and supply agreements.
  • Experience in forecast management and capabilities of balancing supply with demand to optimize stock and costs.
  • Competence in setting up and managing stock control and purchase planning systems with a keen eye for detailed reporting and analysis.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication abilities essential for crossdepartmental collaboration and building strong stakeholder relationships.
