Project Engineer

• Assists in managing project(s) chartered and assigned in due coordination with all project

Initiating:

• Understands the business case
• Prepares project charter
• Collects processes and information

Planning:

• Assists in preparing project management plan.
• Assists in Development team (Consultants, Project Manager etc.) selection through approved processes (Technical and Financial proposals)
• Assists in providing review comments during Design stage consisting of Concept, Schematic and Design Development.
• Assists in ensuring that all Tender documents are prepared and in good order for the release for tender.
• Assists in ensuring that all necessary permits, licenses, and Issue for Construction (IFC) drawings have been secured.
• Provides support during the tender stage and assist in making recommendations for award.
• Ensures that all contracts, agreements, securities, and insurances are in place prior to commencement of works.

Executing:

• Supports in commencement and mobilization of project(s) and ensures that all initial requirements are secured.
• Assists in ensuring that the execution of works is according to Project Management Plan and report to the line manager of any deviations noticed. Follows the instructions of the line manager to ensure that the deviations are corrected.

Monitoring & Controlling:

• Reviews scope, time, cost, and quality against performance measurement baselines and ensures compliance. Ensures necessary preventive and corrective measures are taken.
• Determines variances, supports in change control processes, ensures all variations are formalized and information distributed to the stakeholders.
• Performs risk assessments and take necessary actions.
• Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly executive and project progress reports.
