Traffic Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA DOT and private clients
  
• Produce/review traffic impact studies safety studies and traffic forecasting
  
• Establish guidelines for cost estimates
  
• Review/approve cost estimates prepared by others
  
• Project Manager duties as needed
  
• Serve as subject matter expert
  
• Assure project understanding approach and technology fully addresses client regulatory and best practices technical issues.
  
• Independently develop projects
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
  
• 7 years of Traffic Engineering experience
  
• Ohio PE License
  
• P.T.O.E. preferred
  
• Road Safety Professional preferred
  
• Experience with MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad/Civil 3D
  
• Experience using other designrelated software (SignCad AutoTurn HCS Synchro/Simtraffic VISSIM TransModeler SIDRA Rodel)
  
• Travel demand modeling preferred
  
• Basic/advanced GIS capabilities preferred
  
• Knowledge of MUTCD policies/procedures
