Spanish Interpreter for Special Education ClassroomSY
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated Spanish Interpreter to provide support in special education classrooms within school districts across Illinois. This position offers an exciting opportunity to facilitate communication between Spanishspeaking students families and school staff ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities and services. The Spanish Interpreter will play a crucial role in promoting inclusivity and supporting the academic success of students with diverse linguistic backgrounds.
**Responsibilities:**
Provide interpretation services during special education classroom activities including instruction meetings assessments and parentteacher conferences.
Facilitate communication between Spanishspeaking students families and school staff to ensure understanding of educational content expectations and support services.
Assist teachers and special education staff in delivering instructions and clarifying concepts for Spanishspeaking students.
Translate educational materials documents and correspondence between English and Spanish as needed.
Collaborate with teachers administrators and support staff to develop and implement strategies for supporting Spanishspeaking students academic and socialemotional needs.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interpreting sensitive information and adhering to ethical standards of practice.
Support students language development and literacy skills through targeted interventions and activities as directed by classroom teachers and speechlanguage pathologists.
Requirements
Fluency in both English and Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Previous experience as an interpreter or translator preferably in an educational or special education setting.
Knowledge of educational terminology and concepts in both English and Spanish.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students families and school staff from diverse backgrounds.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fastpaced environment with changing priorities.
Commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in education and supporting the needs of Spanishspeaking students and families.
