Job Description
Growing Chicago firm is looking to add a Project Engineer for their Chicago team!
Responsibilities:
Perform tasks related to project engineering and management
As onsite technical representative inspect contractor construction services daily task coordination and recommend acceptance of work completion
Analyze applicable codes standards and specifications
Monitor construction work for compliance
Perform general inspections to ensure compliance with contracts
Monitor contractor s site performance
Prepare daily reports
Document quality related issues
Inspect materials for compliance with contracts schedules and field orders
Assist with completion of Requests for RFIs
Review project schedules change orders and budget tracking
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
5 years of construction experience
Master s degree in Civil Engineering with three years of experience accepted
Experience with the following:
o Procore
o MS Office
o AutoCAD
o MicroStation
o Construction material testing
o Material inspections
o SWPPP inspections
o Airport projects
o Fuel lines
o Tank farms
o Roads/bridges
o Stormwater systems
o Utilities
o Vertical Construction
Salary is commensurate with experience.
