About The Role

We are seeking to hire a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for all accounting transactions ensuring efficient and effective recording of financial transactions in the accounting system analysis of financial data reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Book keeping

• Maintain accurate and timely financial information in the accounting system.
  
• Manage vendor invoices ensuring timely recording of invoices into the Business Central system
  
• Manage intercompany/third party invoicing perform monthly reconciliation of inter company balances and obtain confirmation with other parties to resolve any differences.
  
• Manage external receivables and payables ensuring balances with vendors are accurate.
  
• Review accounting system entries to ensure proper GL and cost center allocation.
  

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts in line with the company s financial reporting timetable and deliverable requirements
  
• Coordinate with HoDs on understanding their costs vs. Budget reports coordinate variance explanations etc.
  
• Support throughout all stages of the budget process assisting with consolidation and analysis to support decisionmaking
  
• Manage relationships with external (customers and vendors) and internal stakeholders.
  
• Assist with coordinating the annual audit process preparation of statutory accounts etc.
  

Risk and Compliance

• Manage Statutory requirements with HMRC VAT compliance file quarterly VAT.
  
• Adherence with accounting process controls to ensure quality and compliance.
  
• Support the Head of Finance in the development and maintenance of group finance systems.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in business administration preferably in Finance or Accounting.
  
• Chartered Accountant (ACCA ICAG CIMA CPA or equivalent qualification).
  
• Minimum of 4 years work experience as an Accountant.
  
• An effective communicator internally and externally.
  
• Familiar with accounting systems (Business Central preferred).
  
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
  
• Good understanding of financial processes and systems.
  
• Excellent analytical skills attention to details.
  
• Selfstarter with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook proficiency.
  
• Well organized with excellent time management skills.
