Job Title: System Integration Manager (SIM) Warehouse Automation
Duration:Long Term Contract
Location: Remote (with at least 50% travel to cold storage locations)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled System Integration Manager (SIM) to oversee and manage the integration of warehouse automation systems. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless integration of various technologies within warehouse environments particularly focusing on cold storage facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system integration project management and a willingness to travel extensively.
Responsibilities:
Lead the integration of warehouse automation systems including but not limited to robotics conveyor systems AS/RS and IoT devices.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements and develop integration strategies.
Manage the endtoend integration process from planning and design to implementation and testing.
Coordinate with vendors and thirdparty suppliers to ensure compatibility and functionality of integrated systems.
Develop and maintain project schedules budgets and resource allocations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Provide technical expertise and support to onsite teams during installation and commissioning phases.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in warehouse automation and integration methodologies.
Travel to cold storage locations as needed approximately 50% of the time to oversee integration projects and provide onsite support.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering Computer Science or related field; Masters degree preferred.
Proven experience (5 years) in system integration preferably within warehouse automation or similar industries.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
Willingness to travel extensively to cold storage locations as required.
Problemsolving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Knowledge of industry standards and protocols related to warehouse automation systems (e.g. PLC SCADA MES) is a plus.
Certifications in project management or relevant technical fields are desirable.
Full Time
