Category Demand Planning Officer - Qatar Airways

As a Category Demand Planning Lead Officer you are responsible for undertaking replenishment activities for a product area against agreed range plans and to identify and action agreed opportunities to optimize sales stockholding and profit. Proactively support the Planning Manager in driving the Planning Strategy for the Category on a daily basis as well as supporting other members of the team on specific Planning projects. Ensure teams objectives are timely efficient and costeffective. Assist in all planning duties including estimating future product demand analyzing inventory flow and developing forecast models.

Operational accountabilities include:

• Efficiently handle the stock intake and replenishment for either a department or selection of brands in line with set KPls.
• Forecast and plan in conjunction with the supplier/s and planning manager to ensure maximum availability. Maintain the replenishment systems to optimize stock management.
• Prepare reports and analysis to provide management team and key stakeholders with clear transparent analysis and data.
• Agree promotional orders quantities with suppliers to ensure optimal inventory in line with activity expectations.
• Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
• Build professional business relationships with procurement retail space planning suppliers and logistics at the appropriate contact level.
• React to new activity and projects with plans to maximize potential.
• Responsible for achieving targets as set and manage exit strategies.
• Review promotions and new lines raise orders and supervise the orders initiated by the Coordinator. Identify future risks and opportunities in line with the Qatar Duty Free business growth ambitions and propose mitigation actions.
• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts budgets and business strategies.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
• Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of jobrelated experience
• Or Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of jobrelated
• Experience of planning organizing and prioritizing in the Retail/Manufacturing industry.
• Experience of merchandising/replenishment systems ideally Microsoft AX SAP or Oracle.
• Experience of working within highvolume retail able to work with a large range of stockkeeping unit.
• Experience in multisite operations or sales management environment
• Experience in using planning software and data system
• OTB (OpentoBuy) WSSI (weekly sales and stock intake plan) planning experience.
• Proven experience in forecasting demand planning inventory management and working with replenishment systems.
