Java Software Engineer

• Youll collaborate closely with a small dynamic team working alongside each member and the team lead
  
• Your main responsibility will be the development of highperformance financial applications in Java such as trading market data feed handlers smart order routers trading gateways and algorithms. Additionally youll contribute to designing and architecting these features
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  
• 8 years of handson development experience for senior developers or 5 years for intermediate developers
  
• Senior developers should possess a solid grasp of software design principles and a passion for cuttingedge technologies and ultralow latency architecture
  
• Junior developers should demonstrate a positive attitude discipline accountability and a keenness to learn new technologies
  
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  
• Attention to detail with the ability to analyze requirements and align them with both business and product sustainability perspectives
  
• Businesslevel proficiency in both Japanese and English
  

• Experience in highperformance enterprise or realtime systems particularly in banking and finance
  
• Extensive knowledge of the Java programming language and ecosystem including Java 8/11/17 garbage collectors GCfree techniques concurrency dependency injection and unit testing. (those with standalone J2EE Java web applications or Springonly experience may not be considered)
  
• Candidates with good handson experience in modern C concepts like C 11/14/17 STL boost atomic operations lockfree techniques lambda expressions and template meta programming may also be considered
  
• Experience with distributed systems message buses microservices architecture and network programming
  
• Proficiency in applying design patterns and principles to build robust scalable and ultralow latency applications
  
• Experience with agile and iterative development methodologies
  
• Proficiency in using Linux/Unix commands and tools for scripting and troubleshooting (such as shell script awk sed python etc.)
  

• A Java proficiency test will be administered
