Our client is part of a team of life science companies who are developing products that are paving the way in the fight to save lives.
They are looking for a new team member Buyer / Planner.
Key components of this role:
- Release of purchase orders maintenance of past due purchase orders and working with suppliers to ensure ontime receipt of shipments.
- Correct inventory from prequalified vendors help coordinate the receipt and shipping of materials assist with quality control inspections
- Provide the manufacturing team relevant inventory related information as needed lot numbers expiration dates supplier numbers quantities etc
- Track analyze manage document and report on open purchase orders pastdue lines pastdue invoices status.
- Update site leadership and manufacturing teams on supplier delivery expedites status and performance as needed
- Perform ongoing inventory management analysis for all raw materials at established frequencies and drive reductions in supplier leadtime onhand inventory Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) and other factors
- Convert purchasing software requisitions (Oracle) for purchased goods as needed to support ontime delivery targets
Expectations
- Utilize standard work guidelines to ensure daily responsibilities are completed according to priority
- Release scheduled production orders for assigned areas as defined in standard work guidelines
- Only use approved and validated vendors to source required materials and products
- Actively participate in and lead assigned process improvement activities; learn and apply clients guidelines for efficient material management
- Excel as a team player identifying and sharing best practices while satisfying internal manufacturing customer service needs related to expedites priorities information requests and other items
Salary: $DOE / hr (6 month contract)
Schedule: MonFri 7am 4pm (1 hr lunch)

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Business Project Management Science Engineering or a related field Preferred!
- Min 12 yrs business/ operations materials management or manufacturing experience
- Previous experience w/ Material Planning Inventory Control and ERP Oracle
- Team Player ability to work in a collaborative teamoriented environment
- Skills to be successful demonstrated ability to meet deadlines multitask provide exceptional customer service strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient w/ MS Excel
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fastpaced environment
- Previous experience /working knowledge of ERP systems
- Familiar with and understand continuous improvement and lean concepts
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
- The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
