Warehouse Data Specialist

TrisianGlobal Consulting is seeking a Warehouse Data Specialist with experience using Power BI. This is a contract for hire opportunity onsite in Memphis.

• Extract data using specialist applications/software including Power BI
• Respond to datarelated queries
• Help management identify and create processes to make data processing more efficient.
• Perform analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data.
• Issue and transmit all receipts via EWR as well as cancel receipts daily of all shipped bales.
• Collaborate with management to develop review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data processing and analysis ensuring data integrity best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting documents for data processing and analysis procedures documenting common issues root causes and resolutions to ensure efficient problemsolving and minimize downtime in data operations.
• Ensure the integration of accounting transactions across systems and departments and timely issuance of invoices as well as the collection of payments from customers within established terms and minimize outstanding receivables.
• Process and schedule loads via computer.
• Process and maintain all data in regard to maintaining licensing insurance and other compliance activities.
• Compare identifying information counts and weights of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against Bills of Lading invoices orders or other records.
• Post weights and shipping charges key into computer as to appropriate customer.
  
• Record shortage and damage on loads. Correspond with customer to rectify damages and shortages. Adjust complaints concerning billing or services rendered.
• Ensure shipment meets specifications of accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain inventory
• Prepare invoices and bills of lading lists weight and identifying number of load plus additional certification billing.
• Input and retrieve data from the computer. Read computer files and gather records to compile needed data.
• Process job orders to determine work priorities.

Education/Experience

• Bachelors degree or three years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination.
• 25 years experience in agricultural commodity warehousing or logistics; or equivalent industry experience.
  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities prioritize workloads and perform multiple tasks that might have conflicting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees as well as outside parties to communicate expectations and make recommendations to facilitate change.
• Selfdirected with a high sense of urgency and strong bias for action in a highly dynamic and demanding work environment.
• Demonstrated experience and effectiveness to work in crosscultural and geographically dispersed teams.
• Broad range of computer skills including functional knowledge of Microsoft programs especially MS Word Excel and Power Point. Microsoft Access OneNote SharePoint and Power BI will be beneficial.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of supply chain dimensions domestic trucking other transportation modes warehousing freight forwarding and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret documents write routine reports and correspondence speak effectively before groups of supervisors or employees and apply common sense and problem solving.
