We are looking for a Payroll Manager to lead our payroll functions (US and international). Youll work to ensure our payroll expenses and taxes are paid correctly and on time. A big part of your job will be to supervise our payroll and liaise with our Finance professionals and Human Resources department. Our ideal candidate is detailoriented analytical and methodical with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations with multistate expertise. We value integrity team spirit and strong organizational skills. Your goal will be to ensure our payroll procedures are compliant efficient and current.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries benefits garnishments deductions taxes and thirdparty payments).
  • Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems.
  • Work with Benefit Brokers to manage yearly Open Enrollment and HSA.
  • Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires terminations pay rate changes) and system upgrades.
  • Liaison with our payroll providers (e.g. TriNet Blue Marble / Paycheck Plus TMF etc.).
  • Managing multistate and international payrolls.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
  • Resolve issues and answer payrollrelated questions.
  • Develop and implement payroll procedures to ensure accurate and timely payments to associates.
  • Set up or reinstate state tax entities as new states are encountered or reentered.
  • 401(K) reconciliations testing audits setup transmissions loans and contributions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role.
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
  • Excellent understanding of multilocation/multistate payroll and taxes.
  • Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. TriNet) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • An analytical mind and strong math skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPP CPM) is a plus.
  • Handson experience with Trinet and Quickbooks.

  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings and participate in teambuilding efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions peer reviews etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OPWiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
