Head of Belgium

We are supporting a UK PE firm who are looking to open an office in Belgium. This is an exciting opportunity to lead that market entry. As the Head of Private Equity you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the private equity activities in Belgium. You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the private equity division overseeing deal sourcing due diligence investment decisionmaking portfolio management and exit strategies. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong track record in private equity exceptional leadership skills a deep understanding of the Belgian market.

Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development: Develop and execute the private equity investment strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and market trends.
  
• Deal Sourcing: Lead efforts to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in Belgium across various sectors including conducting market research and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  
• Due Diligence: Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes for potential investments including financial analysis risk assessment and legal review.
  
• Investment DecisionMaking: Lead investment committee discussions and make informed recommendations on potential investments based on thorough analysis and strategic alignment.
  
• Portfolio Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the portfolio companies working closely with management teams to drive value creation initiatives and maximize returns.
  
• Exit Strategies: Develop and execute exit strategies for portfolio investments including IPOs mergers acquisitions or secondary sales to optimize investment returns.
  
• Investor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors providing regular updates on investment performance and strategic initiatives.
  
• Team Leadership: Recruit develop and mentor a highperforming team of investment professionals fostering a culture of collaboration excellence and continuous learning.
  
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and proactively identify and mitigate investment risks.
  
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders summarizing investment activities performance metrics and market trends.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  
• Proven track record of at least 10 years in private equity or investment management with a focus on the Belgian market.
  
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with the ability to assess complex investment opportunities and perform detailed financial modeling.
  
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Deep understanding of the regulatory environment and market dynamics in Belgium with a network of relevant contacts within the industry.
  
• Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fastpaced dynamic environment with a focus on innovation collaboration and strategic thinking.
  
• Fluency in English and Dutch or French; additional languages considered a plus.
