Laboratory Technician

If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute your skills and knowledge our client is looking for a dedicated and motivated Laboratory Technician.

In this role you will

• Perform comprehensive clinical laboratory procedures of low and high complexity as directed by the laboratory manager.
• Perform preparation of reagents and controls
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance of equipment per SOPs (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable documentation
• Maintain laboratory and equipment clean and functional (On the job training will be provided)
• Perform all tasks related clinical sample testing (blood urine) including sample receipt login sample preparation and testing recording test results and disposing of samples
• Organize stock and maintains inventory; order stock as needed
• Adhere to existing safety standards and help improve laboratory safety practices
• General responsibilities maintenance of laboratory equipment data entry maintenance of laboratory records including quality control instrument logs and inventory of reagents and supplies
• Provide support to direct and extended R&D team as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary: $DOE/ hr (contract)

Schedule: FT 40 hrs MF 8am 5 pm

Location: Miami FL

Qualifications

• Associate Degree w/ 3 years of previous working experience or
• 4yr bachelors degree (Chemistry Biology or other STEM related field) w/ 02 years of previous working experience
• Experience w/ urine chemistry and/or hematology diagnostic testing and instrumentation Preferred!
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of laboratory duties and/or biological sciences Required!
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
• The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen
