Role Overview: The Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of software development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. They will report directly to the Regional Manager/Director for Project delivery in that region and it is possible that more than 1 region will be covered simultaneously depending on the requirements of the business. They will a have a dotted line reporting into the Project Delivery Exec for adherence to agreed process and provision of data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, resources, and budgets.

  1. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including team members, equipment, and materials, to support project execution and ensure optimal utilization.

  1. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed.

  1. Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, vendors, and team members, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction, guidance, and support to achieve project goals and objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

  1. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and quality benchmarks.

  1. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, assessing impacts and communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and approval.

  1. Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify variances from the project plan. Take corrective actions as needed to keep the project on track.

  1. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular project status reports, updates, and dashboards to stakeholders, providing insights into project performance, risks, and issues.

  1. Lessons Learned: Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and capture best practices for future projects.

  1. Client Satisfaction: Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Address client concerns and requests promptly and professionally.

  1. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, methodologies, and tools, leveraging industry best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering software development projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban.

  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify and address complex project issues and risks.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Experience working in the IT/software development industry is preferred but not required.
