System Engineer

My client is a wellfunded stable electronics engineering company with outstanding links to top academic institutions. They are working with advanced scientific technologies developing products to make the world a safer and easier place.

They are looking for a Systems Engineer from a control engineering background to take a higherlevel role in development of the product. Required experience includes:

* Experience designing and developing boardlevel electronics systems * Previous systemslevel experience in control engineering * Understanding of PLL and PiD * understanding of electromechanics * MATLAB/SIMULINK modelling * FPGAs for prototyping * DSP algorithms * Embedded C and/or C * Both team and project management which is an integral part of the position

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design, with a proven track record in CMOS and PLL design. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and methodologies, including schematic capture, simulation, layout, and verification. Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, analog design principles, and circuit simulation techniques. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for design automation is a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
