Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled travel Physical Therapist (PT) to join our talented team. • The location is in Indianapolis IN
• The working schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with 1 hour lunch break at 12 pm
• The duration is 13 weeks as a contractor
• The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
• No Holiday Oncall or Weekend requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
• Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about
• Develop an individualized treatment plan
• Coach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
• Use handson therapy such as massage to ease patients pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
• Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
• Advise patients and their families on inhome treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process
• Communication skills for communicating diagnoses test results and available treatments in terms that clients and their families can understand
  
• Compassion when working with individuals frustrated by the difficulties they are experiencing
• Critical thinking skills for adjusting treatment plans as required and identifying alternative ways to help
• Attention to detail for maintaining notes on treatment and progress
• Listening skills for listening to concerns and symptoms of clients so they can decide the most appropriate course of treatment

Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapy IN license OR Compact
• Recent Physical Therapy experience in a rehab setting
  
• 2 years experience providing outpatient therapy services to adult population; 2 years experience treating neurologic disorders in adults
• BLS Certification
• Experience Preferred: Experience treating brain injury is preferred but not required

Additional details:

In outpatient therapists in all 3 disciplines are scheduled with 8 patients for 1 hour each session. We typically have no shows/cancellations. That time can typically be used for documentation.
