Snowflake DBA

Job Title: Snowflake DBA

Location: Hybrid Boston MA (onsite 4 days/week)

Terms: Contract

Will require an inperson interview.

This is a Senior DBA position to work as a part of a skilled DBA team in order to assist with migration maintenance update and support of various database platforms including Snowflake Fivetran DBT DB2 Oracle SQL Server AWS RDS Redis Document DB and DynamoDB Data Migration Service (DMS).

Activities will include working with other teams including development security and data warehouse teams. Production oncall support maintenance and offhour deployments are required.

Knowledge Skills and Education Required

Handson experience with designing implementing and maintaining Snowflake and Five Tran is a must. Certification preferred.

5 years hands on database work DB2/UDB SQL Server.

Handson experience with AWS RDS Document DB DynamoDB and Redis databases.

Experience working with largescale databases

An understanding of proper indexing and experience with query tunning

Knowledge of DB2 Range Partitioning MDC and MQT

Knowledge of UDB/AIX utilities such as backup reorg run stats and rebind is required

Knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server reorg update stats

Experience with AWS DMS

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Experience using a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology

Ability to analyze existing configuration and recommend hardware/software improvements.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Proven leadership and collaborative skills.

Demonstrated ability to meet business needs with sound technical approaches.

Selfmotivated taskoriented and capable of working independently on multiple simultaneous projects.
