Our client is one of Australias leading custom mining and civil vehicle manufacturers. They are seeking a Hydraulic Hose Fitter to join their Perthbased team. Please note mechanical fitters with experience in hydraulic fittings hydraulic hose assembly and basic hydraulic systems and Hydraulic Hose Fitters with experience in Mechanical Fitting are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include
- Assemble install and hose up hydraulic systems
- Fabricate and fit hydraulic components according to specifications / drawings
- Diagnose faults
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing
- Experience on a wide range of vehicles including service trucks water carts tilt trays and tippers
Requirements
- Trade qualified
- 3 years experience in hose fitting in either a workshop environment or mobile / van capacity
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and industrial thread identification
- Understanding of and the ability to perform highpressure hose testing procedures
- Operate workshop machinery including forklift cutoff saw crimper and pressure testing equipment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
