We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong construction and/or civil background. Formwork structures temporary works experience and climbing systems experience

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing client & builder relationships through contract management.
  • Managing the Quality Assurance systems alongside the Site Manager.
  • Ensuring that all site works are carried out in accordance with the current documentation and the contract Scope of Works.
  • Overseeing site engineering team in managing the ITP process ensuring third party engineering inspections are undertaken.
  • Determining buildability of the works by selecting appropriate formwork and climbing systems in conjunction with the Site Manager and client/builder.
  • Managing the Design Process including coordination between in house design teams supplier design teams client consultants and 3rd party review consultants.
  • Overseeing project & site engineering team to ensure that plans drawings and specifications are understood and ensuring that current information is communicated to the site team.
  • Ensuring project & site engineering team document site progress by taking daily photographs for site records completing daily diaries QA records progress measures and to incorporate in the monthly reports.
  • Identifying design or site issues that may result in time delays and working with the Site Manager to find preventative solutions.
  • Commercial management understanding scope of works claims submissions and approvals and identifying and managing variation works.
  • Internal commercial reporting using forecasting tools.
  • Managing WHS in conjunction with the WHS Manager through the use of Safety Management systems creating and modifying SWMS communicating safety requirements to the site team and ensuring that works are carried out according to approved documentation.
  • Promoting and developing a strong safety culture.
  • Managing the programs and progress reporting both internally and to clients / builders.
  • Other duties as directed by the Senior Project Manager/Construction Manager for future responsibilities.
  • Willingness to work Saturdays.

Skills and Experience:

  • Formal civil engineering or construction qualification
  • Previous construction experience in a building or civil environment(Formwork structures steel fixing concrete pump & place and temporary works experience will be an advantage).
  • Minimum 7 years experience.
  • RMS and B80 experience will be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience with Builders/Principal Contractors.
  • Experience working with MS Office MS Excel MS Project and Aconex.
  • Initiative and a strong ability to work autonomously independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Be selfdriven with the goal to progress your career.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients consultants and in house teams.
  • Provide support to Site Management and other team members.
  • Must have a can do attitude.
  • Ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Unrestricted right to work in Australia.
  • Sound technical ability and able to read and interpret plans drawings & specifications and can communicate the information to the site team.
  • Able to work within a team and learn and develop effective communication skills.
