- As a member of a team, arrange site visits with vessel owners to observe, document and validate fishing vessels operating out of the areas fishing landing sites. The data to be validated includes, but is not limited to[1]:
- Name and Contact information for Registered Vessel Owners
- Vessel type (e.g., pirogue, mother boat)
- Engine Size
- Evidence of Engine Registration (Certificate of Record for Vessel)
- Evidence of Ownership (receipts etc)
- Evidence of registry with the Fisheries Division (e.g., Valid Fisherman’s Certificate)
- Evidence of registry with Maritime Services Division if operating on the High Seas (e.g., Boat Card)
- Visibility of vessel Number
