Job Description

As a Head ofSoftware & DataEngineering at Pelico you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in data integration while leading and developing a team of highly skilled engineers. Your role encompasses both technical expertise and team management skills to ensure the seamless execution of projects and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

What youll do & learn

• Team Management:
• Lead mentor and inspire a team of data and software engineers to achieve their highest potential.
• Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous learning within the team.
• Provide guidance on engineering fundamentals best practices and ensure the teams adherence to quality and security standards.
• Conduct regular assessments of team performance gather feedback and implement strategies for improvement.

• Project Coordination:
• Plan coordinate and manage software and data integration projects ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional departments to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement systems and processes to proactively identify and resolve issues ensuring a seamless data integration experience for clients.

• CustomerFacing Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Customer Operations team to align data integration strategies with customer preferences and needs.
• Implement datadriven decisionmaking processes to enhance the overall customer experience.
• Embrace multiple communication channels to effectively engage with customers and address their requirements.

• Operational Excellence:
• Identify opportunities to accelerate customer deployments by building reusable assets and drive associated technical roadmap.
• Drive efficiency through standardization of processes across the organization reducing errors improving consistency and streamlining operations.
• Optimize existing processes regularly gathering insights from team members and implementing improvements to meet evolving needs.
• Utilize data and analytics to provide objective guidance for impactful decisionmaking.

• Technical Leadership:
  • Leverage your extensive technical expertise to guide and contribute to the development of data integration projects.
  • Collaborate with the team to define and implement robust data pipeline architectures automation processes and software solutions.
  • Oversee the design development and maintenance of the data stack ensuring alignment with business and product needs.

What you embody

• At least 10 years of data and software engineering experience ideally in a SAAS environment
• Proven experience in planning coordinating and managing datarich products or complex data pipelines
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing highperformance teams
• Credible counterpart to work directly with customers and find solutions together
• You are mastering on Python Javascript C Kotlin Younameit but note that we hire based on engineering fundamentals rather than familiarity with specific technologies
• SQL expert
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to engage effectively with team members and clients
• Proactive Autonomous results oriented and you excel in stimulating environments
• Bilingual English mandatory (verbal & written) French is a plus
