ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Professional Excellence: Understand and adhere to the WPH Performance Standards Policies and Behaviors. Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations observing different and special requirements for each protocol ensuring proper documentation.
• Technical Expertise: Assume responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures producing highquality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness for the type of test ordered.
• Collaborative Patient Care: Assist physicians during procedures as necessary. Maintain the cleanliness of all work areas equipment and accessories. Report any malfunctioning equipment promptly.
• Efficient Operations: Perform equipment quality assurance and calibrations as needed. Notify senior staff when supplies are low and need to be ordered.
• Adaptability: Be ready to work in case of emergency procedures or when situations arise in the department. Work on call holidays overtime and/or day evening and overnight shifts to help maintain adequate and safe coverage for the department.
• PatientCentric Approach: Introduce yourself use two patient identifiers and explain the exam to the patient and/or family member. Provide care based on the physical and psychosocial needs of different patient populations.
• Continual Learning: Uphold continuing education requirements to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Be aware of departmentspecific protocols and policies such as Stroke Program/Code Gray IV & Oral contrast etc.
• Leadership: May be assigned as an instructor or preceptor. Treat all people/staff in a professional and courteous manner upholding the hospitals behavioral standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an allied health education program and accredited radiography school or hospitalbased program.
• NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required. ARRT registered (RT) and radiograph (R) and/or (CT) certified and/or NMTCB registered (CNMT) with documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection.
• Passing advanced CT examination/certification within 1 year from the date of hire.
• Uphold continuing education requirements with current standards of 24 ECE credits over a twoyear period depending on the year of birth.
• DOH IV certification preferred or by completion of a 6month orientation.
• BLS certification through the (AHA) American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Radiation dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology (ACR) will be performed during the orientation process and before the end of the probationary period.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS:
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm Weekends as Needed

Mon to Fri: 2:00pm to10:00pm Alternating w/e
